I may be a touch hung over this morning but  I know that I saw Elvis last night at a dance in Sweet Fuck Nowhere and he was good. Okay - his singing and moves were what I would consider to be a young Elvis and this guy was a faux Elvis, albeit the runner-up at the American Elvis impersonator contest.

I had gone to the dance because my guitar tech/friend Brett was going to be playing his guitar in Route 66, which if it sounds suspiciously like a 60's band is appropriately named. Brett's wife Rosanna clinched the deal when she batted her cute little eyes at me and asked if we could give her a ride to venue after she closed up the music store (they own it) for the night.

Brett is one of those people who are nice - the kind of guy that you instantly like and will keep liking over time. Usually he's wearing a t-shirt, jeans and sandals in the shop so it was quite a surprise to see him in white shirt, black pants and red suspenders. He looked sharp - and then the band started and holy moly, he has one great voice.

Fun. I had a good time, took lots of pictures and danced for the first time post Montreal.

The only problem was agonizing over what shoes to wear...
