Toronto garbage strike

I was expecting to see piles of garbage and have my nose assaulted by a few nasty smells after listening to countless reports about the Toronto garbage strike.

 

 

There are pockets of garbage lying around but all in all, Toronto was pretty much business as usual -  life is continuing and people are dealing with it.

Years ago when cities around here started to privately contract trash and garbage service I was worried about this but they seem to be more reliable than having city workers do it. I have never heard of a strike or anything else since.
