I hate war, but have a perverse love of military hardware. This was rather neat.

Nice photography, kerasi, but leaves me wishing that they'd managed to find an Avro Arrow out in a farmer's field somewhere and hung that lovely lawn-dart from the rafters.

I've visited the Imperial War Museum a couple of times, over in London (south side of the Thames near Elephant and Castle if I recall correctly) since it was (ahem) in the neighbourhood. Neat place, really wish I had taken a picture of the Jagdpanther that they had on display.

Have never made it to our National War Museum but then again must confess that I have always tried really really hard to avoid going anywhere near REMF-ville the National Capital Region. I'm sure I don't need to offer a translation for that particular acronym, ne qua?

Regards as ever from the land of sticky wet snow and gale warnings,
Angharad

The collection of tanks, Canadian, American, British and German is extensive - there is even a Russian tank that was manufactured in Quebec.

Mmmm, a Kangaroo APC? Cannot right off think of what might have been made in Quebec other than Shermans at the Montreal Locomotive Works -- you can tell I have mislaid my copy of CMH.

Oura pobeida Stalin! painted on the side of the thing?

As a Quaker I also hate war, but I'm a military historian by profession. Confused? I certainly am :o)
