Trains and rain

A little look at a rainy day

A Canadian Pacific train crossing over the Sidney Street bridge

Waiting for a load - a sign of the economy...

Rain drops on the lens of add to the Stephen King look of the trees in the front yard.

love the way these were taken. The gray makes it feel almost too close and real

I grew up on black and white on Vancouver Island back in the days of big trees and the last live steam on the E&N....

I make sure that the train drivers can see me standing waaaaay away from the tracks btw and I wear a orange jacket.

I love the one of the tree. There is just something special about that. Great pictures. :)

Thank you, I often wonder though if it just a matter of technical expertise and luck?

I shot that one on the way home - it was raining and cold and dreary (perfect!) and when I saw the trees in our front yard, well, they brought back a lot of memories and stirred long suppresed emotions from my childhood.

That first shot is so atmospheric that it had Steve Reich's: 'different trains' playing in the back of my mind (and you know how my synaesthesia makes me react to music :o)
